Are You safe when bow hunting?
Are you a bow hunting newbie? When starting out there are plenty of things to think about in terms of the care you need to take when hunting.
If you find this too much, I know how you feel. It took me a year to really feel comfortable in to not feel awkward with my Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, Martin hunting bow. With a bow like this you only can not be too cautious, so I’ve decided to share some hints you ought to be mindful of when it concerns bow hunting safety:
1. Make sure your bow is in good condition prior to leaving for a hunt. Make sure there aren’t any hairline breaks in the body of the bow or the bow string is not fraying on you… trust me… that can hurt a lot if it snaps.
2. Check your broad tips and quiver and make certain your quiver is not busted.
3. Pay attention to your surroundings. If you are out hunting ALWAYS be aware of your partners. You don’t want to make the mistake of thinking they are prey… it has happened and it probably will happen again, but you do not wish to be the the one shooting the arrow.
4. Take the bow out and train prior to you heading out. If you’re brand new, be sure that you go and try taking some classes or get instruction from a knowledgeable archer. This is a deadly piece of equipment… you need to be sure you know the way to manage the bow properly.
In any event, these are some methods that I’d give a beginner bow hunting enthusiast. It is important that you learn how to deal with your weapon and do so with forethought.
